Video (5:01) Gergen on The Today show "suspicious"
Link to MSNBC already on Gergen's own website
http://www.davidgergen.com/index.php?page=appearances&item=512

"..more innocent than it looks..."

"..one of the heroes of the war on terror..."

"copies...of internal documents..after action review of the millennium....self assessment"

"investigations started MONTHS ago...he hasn't heard from them in WEEKS"

"suspicious to some of his colleagues"

"not clear the investigation is still underway"

Distractioin?---"it has those overtones"

He went on to say that the Washington Post does not have this on the front page so how the media covers it will decide how much it matters but added that if Berger had to leave the Kerry campaign that would harm their preperation, as he has been an integral part of formulating their national security policy, at this point.

1. Sounds like the voice of reason to me ....
Let's hope cooler heads prevail on this Rovian nasty. I hope the Kerry folks bring out big guns on this.

5. How about Cheney/Halliburton being trading partners with Iran?
Our biggest defense contractor is trading with an enemy state. Where is that in the news?

6. Josh Marshall said the timing of this
is designed to distract from the 9/11 Commission report. This has Rove's fingerprints all over it.
