Janklow a symptom of Republican immorality and lawlessness...
It is imperative that Janklow get the electric chair. Conservatives have to be imitidated so they know that they can be executed. Otherwise they will continue acting in an immoral, lawless and traitorous manner.

Janklow failed to stop, prosecutor says
From staff and wire reports

published: 8/19/2003

Rep. Bill Janklow failed to stop at a stop sign before his Cadillac and a motorcycle collided at a rural intersection Saturday, killing the motorcycle driver, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

Investigators still have not determined how fast Janklow was driving, Moody County State’s Attorney William Ellingson said in a news release Tuesday.

But preliminary reports indicate Janklow went through the intersection without stopping, Ellingson said. He said Janklow’s car traveled about 300 feet after impact.

2. Statute of limitations has expired...
Janklow needs to be punished to set and example. Otherwise our society will go down the toilet.

3. Electric Chair??!!
Please. Stop. Calm down. Yes, he may have been negligent in the operation of his vehicle, but that does not rise to the level of capital punishment.

On the other hand, I don't think that anything rises to the level of capital punishment. This country has to stop its facination with death, as a one-size-fits-all patent nostrum for our ills.

6. Can't vouch for its veracity
but here's an article from an Native American advocacy group about Janklow:

William "Wild Bill" Janklow is the current governor of South Dakota. In 1955, at the age of 16, he was convicted of the sexual assault of a 17-year old woman. As a juvenile offense, this conviction carried little weight under U.S. law.

However, in 1966, while working as the tribal attorney for the Rosebud Sioux, Janklow--aged 27--was accused of raping his children's 15-year-old babysitter, Jancita Eagle Deer. Adult sexual offenses being more grave than this earlier recorded exploit, Janklow used his capacity as head of reservation legal services to stave off the (illegible) of formal, federal charges. He then resigned his position and left tribal jurisdiction.

...

William Janklow is the only known sex offender (and accused rapist) now occupying a U. S. governor's office. Had it not been for the intervention of the FBI in the form of its undercover agent, Douglass Durham, it seems possible that Janklow would have gone to the state prison rather than to the state capitol. Conversely, had it not been for the unabashed cooperation of Attorney General William Janklow, the reign of terror perpetrated by the FBI against the American Indian Movement would have been much more difficult to pull off.

7. Janklow has a fairly notorious lead foot
He got several speeding tickets when he was Governor. My sister in law was a dispatcher and a patrolman called in the license plate of a speeder and it came back Governor William R Janklow.
This story really pisses me off. If he slimes out of this and still runs for the Senate in 2004 I am sending $100 to Tim Johnson. Maybe the death penalty is a little bit harsh, but how about he gets sentanced to be a rodeo clown for the next six years and maybe one of the bulls will even the score. Or just send him to Sturgis on a certain date and let the bikers decide.

8. Notice How Few Media Stories Even Mention He Is Republican.
They circle the wagons quickly.

Now if Hillary's distant cousin...
