Joe sounds like an utter idiot. If Joe doesn't like the "diversity thing", if Joe thinks I'm a pervert because I'm a Democrat, and if Joe really thinks that "fair and balanced" is what it purports to be, well, Joe can bite me.

Joe's vote just isn't worth it. If he's truly that goddamned stupid, the Republican Party might be just the place for him.


HOWEVER

In the real world, I don't think there are THAT many Joes. There are some, sure, but mostly, there are lots of people who have been hoodwinked. And they're intelligent enough to recover, once they have the appropriate information in hand. I believe that's starting to happen very, very slowly.

In the same way that you wouldn't try to teach differential equations to a 4-year old, I wouldn't bother trying to set a genuine "Joe" straight on the American political scene. Joe probably won't show up on election day in any case.
