Should Democrats make recall election about Bush ?
The recall was about incompetency and large deficits by Gray Davis. Is there anyone more incompetent than George W Bush ? No one has ever run deficits as large as Dubya. How could the Democrats make this an ultimatum on Bush? Because, in reality, the recall is being manipulated by the national Republican Party and by George Bush and Karl Rove. Why should Democrats not put George W Bush on the ballot?

1. That is the gameplan.
Especially since California has so many Democrats. Getting the message out that voting for a recall is like voting for Bush is very important.

We need to have a big beat-down on Enron Arnold too.

3. Would love to, but recall is part of the California Constitution
not the American Constitution. It isn't possible unless we get 3/4 of the states to pass the admedment to the Constitution in the next 2 to 6 yrs.

5. Yep, and it's probably a good thing. Impeachment, on the other hand...
IS constitutional!

7. I think he's asking if we should make the California recall a referendum
on Bush.

6. This is all about smirky
Edited on Wed Aug-20-03 08:35 PM by chookie
Gray Davis has begun to call this for what this is -- a power grab by the GOP after smirky's hand-picked candidate failed to win the election last November.

I agree this is part of it -- certainly fits in with the pattern of activities we have seen Bush Crime Family loyalists carry out.

Part of this is to ensure there is a Republican governor in CA in 2004, to "soften" things up for a smirky win, just like in FL. despite the wishes of the majority of voters there.

But another part of this is that indeed, this recall is about the smirk, because he, and Dick, and Kenny Boy, are up to their necks in the California fiasco for the conspiracy they carried out in 2001 during the energy blackouts. They sure as hell can't let anyone think the facts through and come to the obvious conclusion they lead to, so hence the farce we are now witnessing to throw people off the track.

But California's troubles are just part of the picture -- most states, and most major cities are in similar straits. The Republicans mean to step up the attack as the country becomes more vulnerable, again, to distract from much of this being the results of the machinations of the corporate piracy that smirky is the front for. They don't want to be caught out before they have stolen all they possibly can -- so I think we can anticipate similar charades occuring in other parts of the nation.

We must get the facts out that smirky has been a major participant in an energy conspiracy. There's enough out there already to hang the bastard, but of course, the Holy Grail of Democracy is to get our hands on the information that Dick Cheney has up to now managed to keep secret -- the early 2001 secret Energy Policy meetings, in which Kenny Boy was a major architect, and of which an invasion of Iraq was a topic.

on their petition:
