I'm vowing to visit Boston soon, in order to repay those businesses that will suffer (and many of them will) because their city played host to our convention.

If any of you Bostonians know of restaurants, etc., that are suffering financially because of all the security restrictions, regular customers leaving town, etc. ... please list them so we can patronize them as a belated "thank-you" when we visit!

1. That sounds good. I've never been to Boston. AND P-Town isn't that far.
Maybe next summer. :-)

I took my family there last November, and we had a blast .... So much history, so much food, very clean and lots of great people ...

I HIGHLY recommend Boston to all ...

4. Make sure to stay away from the pizza place across from the Fleet Center
The one who put up the illegal pro-Dumbya banner.

6. Sorry to say it, but I have never liked Boston.
I've been there three times. Yes, there's lots of history to see. Yes, there are decent restaurants. But I found the populace to be cold and stuck up - a stark contrast from your typical gregarious New Yorker (which I where I was living when I visited Boston). It sure doesn't stack up well against Chicago or Philly, either, let alone San Francisco.

I'd rate it as the least-friendly big city in America...or maybe the least-friendly small-town-that-never-really-grew-into-a-big-city in America.
