Will Ashcroft enforce federal law against Alabama Justice Moore

The courts have spoken and the decision is final. Now the time has come to enforce the decision since the Chief Justice of Alabama has decided to ignore federal court orders. Attorney General Ashcroft has the responsibility, as a represenative of the President, to enforce the law.

Let's see what happens.

I mean, what if Al Gore had ignored the Supreme Court's decision appointing * President? What if he had holed himself up in the White House, with the cooperation of Bill Clinton, and refused to leave? He could have, but he didn't because he respected the integrity of our system of laws, even when a bad judicial decision was made.

1. He won't have to.

The associate judges have indicated that in the morning, they will meet and override Chief Justice Moore on the monument. Further, AG Pryor will be doing his part, now that the deadline is past and the state is in danger of being fined.

It remains to be seen if the Alabama legislature will impeach Moore for open disregard to the rule of law in this country. They should, but there are a lot of angry Christians all over Montgomery right now. We'll see what happens in the AM...

2. He's obligated to, but he won't

He's weasel out of it somehow. Probably something in the fine print of the Patriot Act he'll pull outta his ass to justify it.:eyes:
