Young Democrats
Is there such an organization? How do I find out about it?

I teach at a suburban Phoenix HS. The VP sent a memo seeking sponsorship for several student clubs, among them Young Repukes.

I emailed him and asked about Young Dems. He replied that he had had a request from the district State Rep. looking for a start up club here at the school. He said I could certainly start a Young Dems branch if I wanted to and recommend if I find out if there is an established program.

He is supportive. He has a framed letter in his office from the Big Dawd himself.

Gracias!

4. As an 18-year member of YDNC...
I suuure hope you are successful in starting one up!:D

It's really great that you are taking the lead in seeking out info about the Y.D. organization in Arizona. I recall seeking out info about the Y.D.s at U.N.C. the first week I was on campus as a freshman. I'm sure glad I found them, and I'll bet the Ariz. Y.D.s will be grateful YOU found THEM, too!

:kick:

ALSO...there may be a companion Ariz. Teen Dem. organization for your students to join, too!

5. Great! Thanks for the info
I've already emailed the local person for info. This is a very republican state but if only a couple of kids respond, that will be a start!

6. I'm glad to see your post..............
I think those of us who are older have failed our youngsters. We haven't been trying to show them the ropes like we should have. In my time (Viet Nam) we were all active. No one had to show us the ropes cause we had too much on the line NOT to know. But it's different now. There is no draft......yet. But we have to get them interested. It's THEIR future. And we need to help them. After all, we're the ones that have screwed it up for them.
