Shouldn't this discrepancy be a big deal, coming from the man who has made "smoking out them evidoers" his defining crusade? I mean, this is the one thing he keeps hammering away at, right?

Seems like a pretty big screw-up coming from our "saviour," imho.

The communiqué also claimed that the operation was meant as a present for the Iraqi people.

meantime some computer hacker of no political affiliation could have been involved. Have you noticed how many computer viruses are around lately? Why is it impossible to assume a hacker was involved with the blackout? Or is it possible Al Qeada is recruiting hackers or educating their own?

10. There's been so much spinning about the cause of the blackout

that I'm surprised that nobody's spinning that it never happened.

Portions of several states and part of Canada just closed their eyes for a time, some for hours, some for days.

After a disaster or big event, every terrorist group on planet Earth takes credit for it -- e.g. when a plane blows up, terrorism or not, the FBI gets hundreds of calls claiming responsibility. Everyone from Al Qaeda to Sinn Fein to Ted Kazinski to That Fat Guy Sitting At The End Of The Bar.

Why go to all that trouble blowing up a power grid when it happens all on its own and you can take credit for it?
