he obviously lied at the scene about the "other car" he swerved to avoid, and his speeding will NOT be raised successfully to "reckless" driving which is virtually impossible to prosecute due to proving intent. janklow is going to do a "gee whiz, I'm heartbroken over my error" speech and that will end that.

(BTW, my conservative in-law neighbors of Janklow do NOT believe he was sober and do NOT believe he was "only doing 70 or so"---they've seen too much of him and his driving. And, they don't believe he will resign. According to them, all the talk is of the "helmetless cycler" who many in the area think would have lived if he had that magic helmet that could compensate for a launch into a field from a bike. Yeah, right...)
