Can we try to expel Tom DeLay?
I'm thinking we can try to expel Tom DeLay from the House.

Obviously, I doubt it would really go anywhere, but I think it might be worth it to contact some Representatives in Congress (i.e., Barbara Lee, John Conyers, Henry Waxman, etc.) and ask them to at least try.

10. In the news just this morning ~ Delay is the most popular congressman
It was a nation wide poll. Nobody asked me so my input wasn't there.

13. Sadly Republicans love him

Tom DeLay has been running the House of Representatives from behind the scenes for a good few years now. After Newt resigned he was pretty much running the show, possibly even before that. Suprising isn't it when you look at the wonderful leaders Dick Armey and Dennis Hastert who were/are infront of him </sarcasm>. Don't worry, I somehow think it's inevitable that he's going to pull a Trent Lott repeat and the House Republicans will be kicking themselves for making him majority leader.

9. I think that it is bad
It is a dangerous precedent to start trying to expel members of Congress. Expulsion should be reserved for the most extreme cases only. If the people of his district wish to elect him then he should be allowed to serve in the House of Representatives. Even though he is clearly not the best person in the world that is not grounds for expulsion from the Congress.

11. I suspect you would feel that way about governors also.
Recalling a sitting governor for no real reason is a very dangerous precedent. But guess what? Californians lead the nation again.

12. I don't.
Turnabout is fairplay, especially in politics. And if there is anyone in congress that needs to be cut off at the knees it's the crown-prince of the neocons. It wouldn't even have to be an expulsion. Dig up some dirt on the fool that was so bad he'd have to resign.

15. you really think Tom Delay is not one of "the most extreme cases"
dude is a bible thumping fascist piece of shit who uses his position for personal gain and to "punish" those who disagree with him.

16. does texas have any recall provisions?
seems that this would be the way to go - even if it's just done in the form of a protest

start multiple recall petitions on the gov., repug state/fed senators and representatives
