Was Sharpton Screaming?
That's what some folks on Mrs Rucky's non-political message board are saying.

I saw the same speech & that was typical Al.

Did FOX or CNN tell them to say that he was screaming?

2. No, he was "testifying" and "being a witness tonight!"
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 08:19 PM by NightTrain
I've heard enough African-American preachers to recognize exactly what Reverend Sharpton was up to. He gave a secular sermon tonight, and it was rocked! But I expected no less of a man who once made a record with James Brown!!!

3. He was being AL
He was great. Kucinich was very forceful also; you don't hear them complaining about that. Kucinich and Sharpton - best tonight. Of course, we haven't heard John Edwards yet.

4. He was being true to himself as a preacher.
Al doesn't need a microphone to fill an arena with his voice. He can project to the galleries and beyond.

6. Al Sharpton was orating! There's a Big Difference!
If you didn't like his message then you have to say anything negative that you can to distract!

8. It depends on your perspective, I guess.
Everytime a democrat exhibits any energy or signs of life, they are immediately tagged as "screaming." :eyes:

Al wasn't screaming. He was speaking with passion, conviction, and energy to an energized crowd. GWB couldn't manufacture that kind of passion with a viagra cocktail and a roomful of hot young things.

10. Al was preaching.
I guess they've never been to a black baptist church before. His delivery style is normal for a preacher. Who the hell cares anyway. It didn't bother the delegates and it sure as hell didn't bother me.

13. Also, remember, we don't hear the full crowd noise on TV
That crowd had to be MASSIVELY loud in person. Might make a speaker raise his voice a little...don't you think?

As stated above, Al was preachin' with PASSION! You don't do that in a whisper.

Fuck the pundits. Racist pukes.
