Good or Bad ?: All the conservatives should drop out and leave Arnold..
to run against the recall by himself?

I think it would be a good thing and we should encourage it. FOX News is reporting that Simon is dropping out. If McClintock (sp?) and Ueberroth were to drop out, there would be no other big name "conservativs" in the race.

Then if the damaging news comes out about Arnold after they drop out, the CA Repubs and the RNC will have no choice but to defend damaged goods. And Arnold's record can be made to look very very unappetizing to the average "conservative" in California. They will be very hesitant to vote for anyone that says they will raise taxes. Arnold has already lied about that one. They will buy that lie.

However, what is his stance on abortion and gay rights? He has very liberal viewponts on both of those issues. Can he get away with saying he has changed his mind on those issues? I doubt it. Although that is perfectly OK with Democrats, it is not acceptable to most conservatives - and those are the Republicans that tend to vote in these types of elections.

So I say we encourage all the other Repubs to get out of the race and leave it to Ahnold. The sooner the better.

1. I think the more Repubs drop from the race, the more it MAY
energize Democrats to get out and vote. This recall has energized California Repubs since they suffered such losses last November and were all but dead in the water.

Once Dems are faced with VOTE NO or live with a repub governor, even Arnold, they may wake up.

3. Yes but...
either McClintock or Uerberoth will stay in the race. This narrowing of the field will energize the Dems and another drop out will do just that. McClintock is a symbol of Conservative Idealism, so I do not see him dropping out of the race! He has stated that he should not be forced aside because some actor wants to be Governor!!!

6. i think its gonna hurt them
I THINK ALSO WE SHOULD MOUNT A RECALL AGAINST THE AUTHOR OF THE DEREGULATION LAW, Brulte. Does anyone know if he is in a safe senate District? he also held up the budget for political reasons.

7. Good and bad because...
The more Repugs that run, the more likely there will be someone that appeals to everyone, making the recall more certain. However, the more that run against Bustamonte, the more likely Bustamonte will have the largest percentage of the vote, so I would say the more that run the better for Dems.

8. It does not mean automatic votes for A.S.
Unless he really moves to the Right. It's not like there is a lack of choice in this election. Much like if Nader dropped out in 2000 some of his backers would have either stayed home or voted for some other fringe candidate, don't expect Simon supporters to be good little soldiers and vote for Arnold (I can't spell his last name) automatically.

9. The "people" in the White House aren't conservatives.
The creatures in the White House only USE conservatives to further their quest for world domination. The largest federal state the world has ever known is going to emerge from this debacle if no cure is applied in 2004.

Bush doles out big government, which he is supposed to despise, in the form of Homeland Security, prescription drug benefits for upscale elderly Americans, increased snooping powers for the Justice Department, a blatant USE of God and religion to con the less worldly of us into thinking he is righteous. And all the while berating those of us who feel that government CAN make a positive difference in peoples lives.

While utilizing a giant smokescreen for middle America, he terrorizes the left and marginalizes the true right. The bought-and-paid-for media is shameless in their groveling.

Simon being forced out is not a surprise; they didn't want him to run the first time, they wanted Riordan. Since they couldn't get Riordan in the first time, they run Arnold in a short term, all image campaign that they think will capture the limited attention span of American voters.

They don't want true limited government people in charge. I think it is high time that these people stop calling themselves Republicans, and instead call themselves what they are more properly modeld after....National Socialists.

Libertarians and Democrats have more in common than most people think. True Conservatives should join with Dems and Libertarians to defeat Corporatism and National Socialism. Then, we can get back to the good arguement that made this nation great. Civil Discourse and a belief in compromise. Anything else is totalitarianism.

10. If all the others drop out, then AHnold will have an advantage
as the dems dilute their side.

What the Dems should be doing is the same. Then the playing field would be leveled a bit. One on one, fair and balanced.

When the conservative Lincoln group advpcates this leaving only AS in the race against 37465 Dems, you just know they playing HARDBALL and want to win... period.

The people had better wake up. Our planet is being ripped apart by the Pubs and their groups...never mind the future for our kids. The Pubs are up to no good.
