I just watched one of my local TV stations
Edited on Wed Aug-11-04 08:40 PM by SammyBlue
here in Tucson (KGUN 9) whore themselves out in order to give Heir Chimpster free advertising.

Here is some evidence:

- Anchor Guy Achtley speeding through his news lead-ins just in case Chimpy-boy gets up on stage and burps out platitudes.

- Co-anchor Colleen Bagnall saying "there are about 14,000 people there" in Phoenix to listen to Bush's snooze-fest, yet she, nor does KGUN-9 actually have totals of people there.

- Them wasting about 9 minutes on this non-story. So Bush is in Phoenix. . .what a bunch of bullshit this is! Tell me important news, like who the rain will be like tomorrow. I give more interest in that than hearing sitrringly inept oratory by Bush.

Then, Bush gets up on stage and asks a friendly, hand picked Republican crowd "for your votes" and says "we won Arizona in 2000, and we'll do it again." Hey, scumbag. . .I hate to tell you this, but YOU WON ARIZONA (a "safe" Republican state) BY SIX PERCENTAGE POINTS. So take your dog and pony show 330 miles east to El Paso and GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY STATE!!!!

Finally, to top it all off, there was a George Bush as which Whistleass saying "I want an America where people own things."

Well, since you've been selected President, Mr. Asterisk, More Americans own:

- No health insurance
- No security inside or outside America
- An employed status
- Hatred of the other side of the debate
- Fewer choices on TV, Radio or Newspapers
- Bankruptcies <My father is the Chapter 13 Trustee's Comptroller and he's sees RECORD number here in Southern Arizona since 2000>
- A weakened military

And, speaking of owning. . .Halliburton, Betchel, Lockheed, et al followed what you said and they also own some: OUR EXECUTIVE BRANCH!

Shithead. . .G-d, I can't wait until November 2nd and this nightmare of Bush is OVER!

Kerry didn't get the treatment here in town that Bush got (damned liberal media) when he was here in Flagstaff ON SUNDAY!!! Hey, asshole. . .get off Kerry's coat-tails and do some independent campaigning, instead of following him around like some horny bloodhound!

Can you all tell I'm pissed off!?!?!?! This is what this man does to me!

2. Can you get the actual stats on the crowd.
14000 is unusually large for one of his rallies. All the media would be pushing this as a prime story if that many people showed up for Bush.

I'm sure the Arizona Republic and the Arizona Daily Star will whore for the Bush Camp in their articles tomorrow. I can post it then.

5. 15 people treated for heat stroke while they waited in 120 degrees
:wtf: were they thinking not getting those people into shade and having water available?
Phoenix firefighters have treated 15 people for dehydration and heat exhaustion who were standing outside Veterans Memorial Coliseum today waiting to hear the president.

One man, who had a heart attack, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in critical condition.

Fire Capt. Frank Salomon said temperatures coming off the asphalt reached 120 to 130 degrees. Many people who were late or didn’t have tickets to enter the Bush event stood outside for hours without water or shade. As many as 80 firefighters were brought in to care for those affected by the heat.

and Camelback was basically closed down for the day and Scottsdale Airpark too

people were not pleased

as for the 14,000, that's what the Veterans Memorial Coliseum holds so it's possible
