If all we do is keep turning corners in our economy, aren't we just going in circles (or squares)?

I'm not counted among the unemployment stats because I work contracts (can't seem to find any solid jobs in my field).

This is the third contract in a row I've worked that has been cut short due to budget restraints.

The only corner that MY economy is turning is the one that I may soon be selling crack from. (not really, just illustrating my point)

So where is this Bush Economic Miracle that is supposed to grow out of the tax cuts for the rich? Why are none of these rich bastards hiring?

Wanna help me out? There are 2 things you can do:
#1 GET OUT THE VOTE and help get teh Bush Cartel out of power.
#2 Buy some anti-Bush shirts and/or CDs of my tunes from http://www.cafeshops.com/docpolitic

1. the rich bastards
are investing in companies which are outsourcing jobs.

If I'm not mistaken, Kerry called it trickle-out economics.

3. The rich?
Edited on Mon Aug-16-04 10:42 AM by bushbash
Sharing? Are you kidding? The big tax breaks give them more money to invest in their fat portfolios. The companies in those fat portfolios:
a) cook the books, extort the bump and declare bankruptcy
b) provide bonuses/perks to their executive core or hire more of them
c) use the bump to move their production facilities to Taiwan

Leonard's Loser: Mr. Average American...

P.S. Sorry about your unfortunate job loss...
Good luck to you

13. Sorry to hear of your lay off....
I took a temporary job for the summer....I will be laid off at the end of Oct. I like your idea for the t-shirt.....LOL

On the up side....your not in a manufacturing job...Michigan has been devastated in the last few years. I have had 4 manufacturing jobs since "99"...three have shut their doors on me(I quit one for better pay and no commute). Its really getting old....I just get some vacation time built up and whamo...I am laid off again.

8. C'mon, be more positive!
This economy has created thousands of good jobs... work is there if you really want a job... if you can't find work in your field, the government has all these great retraining programs... you can always move to where the work is... where's your spirit of entreprenreurship? ownership? you can start a small business.

Four more years!

PS.. why do you hate 'Murica?

Absolutely disgusting! I am sorry you lost your job. I know how difficult it is to find something else.

It is hard to start a business when you don't have any money for gawd's sake!

Hang in there! I hope you find something very soon.

Try not to be too depressed. Life can be incredibly short I have very recently discovered.

14. my dad just got the axe last week too
and I'm yet to find a job since leaving college (well, I've got a McJob at the moment, so I'm technically part of Bush's Manufacturing sector). I came home for stability while I found a real job. So much for that.
I shoulda been an IT major.

 That is definitely the right attitude. :) Getting this idiot out of office is the #1 priority, especially people who have suffered under this Bush economy.

19. Both of My Parents Are Now UNEMPLOYEED
They were doing fine under clinton, but in the past year BOTH of them have lost their jobs. and neither one has applied for welfare so that just goes to show you how horribly innacurate THOSE numbers are for calculating the # of unemployeed.
