possibly another republican candidate for prez?
Just asking. I haven't seen or heard anything and so figure it's not going to happen, I just can't remember the last time a republican president ran unopposed before the primaries, especially one this stupid.

His poll numbers keep dropping, he's not that quick on his feet, Iraq is looking like a quagmire and so on. Is everyone on that "side of the aisle" that intimidated by Rove and Cheney? Bush himself is very vulnerable

3. oh really
George too liberal for him I bet. Man that would be cool if he divided the party and we could of course run DK and DK would win big and we would be back in the right directions.

5. If the thugs were smart, they'd "Trent Lott" Bush and run someone else
Because Bush isn't going to win.

Quote me. It's the writing on the wall.

6. WIth the internet...
and the example of what Dean is doing, you would think that an insurgent campaign would have a better chance now than in 2000. If McCain had been able to do the internet organizing the Dean is doing, he'd probably be president today.

So I think the field is open. If bush's re-elect numbers fall low enough, and if he starts losing the match-ups with a couple of the dem nominees, then somebody will have to step in "to save the party."

And when the congressional repubs see themselves possibly getting swept away with bush, there will be even more momentun for them to "dump the chump."

8. I don't think they have anyone as "Popular"
Popularity is the only thing they run on. Their issues are losers and they know it. Who would you suggest that America could find palatable? The onlyreason Bush* is there is because he is "Popular". He isn't smart and doesn't claim to be. He is what they call "electable" and the Republicans have very few that are "electable" in a Nationwide election.

10. BBV!!! Lots of people keep posting as if we had a VOTE in who wins!
We need to spend the better part of our time ACTIVELY working to make sure that the computers aren't programmed by people who are trying to destroy our Democracy.

Until that insidious situation is TOTALLY under control, it doesn't matter who runs for what, what the polls say, who likes who, or who COULD win, if we had legitimate elections in this country.

We DON'T have legitimate elections....OR A FREE PRESS.... and so we don't have a Democracy, at this point in our history.
