This is creepy...Just because he's from Arkansas and a NATO commander.
They say they've got 10's of thousands of letters of support ot Wesley Clark.

1. maybe he's waithing for an invitation
if he's got such a big ego then he may not run until begged. Do I personally believe that? no, just throwing it out there.

After everything that's been said, good and bad about the guy I'm still on the fence.

4. There were 30,000
letters from average Americans.

Why don't you get off his back.

Siddhartha Buddha wouldn't take kindly to your assasination of Wes Clark's character....

Why do you have to make incorrect inferences to trash him?

6. Zogby poll
So Clark gets 4% in a national poll and they think he can run. Notice Leiberman is above Kerry yet Lieberman has no real chance of winning the nomination. National polls are misleading.
Sharpton has the most intense supporters? Dean wins that one I think.

8. fully %20 of Dean supporters aren't committed
Thats soounds about right. The fact is, the race is 6 months off and of course things are fluid.
Dean peeked to soon.

9. sound like they will go after Dean if Clark runs
Clark will clearly not win the nomination but he may cast enough aspersions about Dean and his ability to be commander in chief that when he leaves the race Kerry will be in an even stronger position.

21. Dean has said good things about Clark and Clark has advised Dean
They should run a very clean contest and might even reach an accomodation later on to beat Bush.

10. They Are Citing The poll
to demonstrate the race is still open.

I hope the nomination isn't already decided.

If it is the candidates should just send their campaign donations to Iraqi orphans.

18. The blind bio poll IS very telling... imagine...
Would you rather vote for a candidate who is a rhodes scholar (with rhodes scholar defined in the question), a 4 Star General, and a Knight in two European countries or...

...a candidate who went AWOL ...

If the names aren't mentioned, most would pick the first candidate... but when the names are mentioned... partisanship takes over.

28. but election day is not a blind poll
blind polls like that are pure b.s. they can frame their "preferred" candidate in the most flattering light, and the "other" candidate in the most unflattering light. you can imagine an equally truthful poll that would emphasize Bush's political experience vs Clark's inexperience and wishy-washiness.

I'll support any Dem that emerges from the primaries......

I am leaning towards Clark and I will answer his detractors.

Why can't we build up our candidates without tearing down the candidates of others.

Seriously, has he said he'll run as a dem or as an independant?

25. Given the fact
that an independent has never been elected president a man smart enough to graduate first in his class at West Point and receive a Master's degree from Oxford could figure out an "Indy" doesn't have a chance.

I think it's fair to infer from his positions and the political environment we are in he'll run as a Dem or not at all.

16. I think that is probably correct...
I know lots of people, including myself, who lean towards Dean. I'm not decided--except for, Lieberman is not someone I would vote for in the caucuses here. I think all the candidates have good things to say. I'm not a one issue voter. We need someone to beat Bush though, and someone who doesn't represent business as usual.

i believe the questions were phrased as bush vrs Clark/Dean or Kerry and they all polled equal to within the margine of error.
