BushWatch: George Bush in Taylor, Michigan
Join Others and Tell Him What's on Your Mind
BushWATCH is in full swing-- an online service that alerts TrueMajorityACTION members when President Bush will be in your state with opportunities to share your views with them.
TrueMajorityACTION has learned that ON MONDAY, AUGUST 30 , President George Bush is traveling to Michigan to visit Heritage Park in Taylor. Local organizers for the Sierra Club are encouraging people to make their voices heard outside his events and would like folks who are interested in participating to contact them, Bruce Hoeft, (248) 435-5277. Those who want to carpool should plan to meet at the Sierra Club’s Clawson office, 100 N. Crooks Rd., Suite 105, corner of Crooks and 14 Mile. They are now planning to meet at 3 p.m. Call for further details. Here is what the Sierra Club says about the event:
Our theme will once again be the Bush Administration’s failure to protect us from toxic mercury. This is a perfect topic, especially following on the heels of the EPA’s recent announcement of expanded fish consumption advisories. We’re working on new props! Picture this: Lots of colorful fish-shaped wind catchers - like the ones you see on people’s porches, held high on fishing poles!!
The President is on his way to the Republic National Convention. There is NO BETTER TIME to protest. Help us make a HUGE statement so that the public knows that Americans won’t stand to have their environmental laws weakened and our water, air and land polluted! WE NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE COME!!
Once again:

In America, you can still share your views with the President and the national media traveling with him. Stay safe, stay legal and express your right to speak out.
