Why don't Powell/Bush*/Rumfilled ask Israel for troops in Iraq?
They've pounded the central american and African nations for human fodder for the occupation. They claim to have, what, 40 "coalition partners" some with a couple of dozen mechanics or such and some with a couple of hundred cooks.

I mean, isn't Israel our biggest ally in the M.E.? (cough) This isn't a holy war (is it?).

Would the Iraqis resent Jewish fighters more than the Christian infidels who are occupying their country? Aren't we widely perceived to be on the same side in this fight anyway?

Doesn't Israel have an army second to none, and lots of tanks and fighter jets? Do they need ALL of their military for the Palestinian thingy?

C'mon Colin....go ask Sharon for some troops!!

1. Earlier I made the comment
regarding the pipeline through Jordan to Israel, that they were trying to incite WWIII. If they want to get III rolling all they have to do it ask Israel publicly. God.....I wouldn't put it past them.

10. Wanna see a f*cking slaughterhouse?
Just bring in Israeli troops. It'll make the West Bank and Gaza Strip look like Disneyland and Disney World. The whole region would explode with violence.

2. don't wish that on the Iraqi's
and actually the answer is probably: No, they are way, way, too busy beating down the araboushim in the territories to help in any significant way.

3. The 3,000 missing Saudis now in Iraq
would quickly turn into 500,000 from Saudi, Pakistan, Indonesia, etc.

We had to beg Israel not to retaliate for the Iraq's firing of scud missiles at them in PGWI, if the media was telling the truth. The last thing we wanted was to bring in Israel.

5. but why?
A freedom fighter is a freedom fighter, regardless of his religion.

Is someone trying to make a logical argument that Iraqi would care about the religion of the person murdering them?

Dead is dead isn't it? - regardless of whether a Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist killed you, right?

8. Are Jewish fighters from Israel considered worse than the
Christian soldiers from the U.S.?

I don't understand. I hear all this stuff about the M.E. coming unglued if Israel participated. Does this mean Israel might get attacked by terrorists.....like the U.S. gets attacked by terrorists?

I thought they were our bestest ally.....

Are they only there we they need us and not when we need them?

This is truly perplexing to me.

14. You did not say that.
Your tongue is in your cheek, right? You made a poor, ponderous funny?

"Does this mean Israel might get attacked by terrorists.....like the U.S. gets attacked by terrorists?"

Ha. Ha. Ha.

7. because the idf is already rotating reservists
through the occupied territories. israel has a manpower shortage, caused in part by the palestinian uprising. they are importing "guest" workers from india, and other states with excess workers.

besides, i really suspect that idf troops in iraq would not be warmly recieved.

9. Do you think they would be received any worse than the U.S
Christian soldiers?

If so, why? We are allied with Israel. What's the difference.

We are strapped for soldiers too. Why not at least a token force from Israel?

11. Yes, they absolutely would
After being given permission by the Allies after WWII (including the US and Britain), they STOLE Palestine and shot anyone who wouldn't allow them to take over the land. Jews are fiercely hated in the Middle East because of the way they have treated the Palestinians over the last 50 years. I don't have a problem with Jewish people, but I despise the Israeli government - Ariel Sharon is a top-grade war criminal and a murderer.

13. Will you please buy a map?
Our "biggest ally" is the size of a flea. How big a population do you believe that small amount of land can support? True, there is universal conscription and every man must serve his country, but that's partly because there are so damn few of them. Surrounded by tens of millions of Muslims.

The Israeli army is well-trained because what they fight for isn't abstract, it's for their lives, their land, their families. They are not foreign adventurists. Also, they can't afford to lose a man. When they go over their borders it's to take out a menace which is attacking them because a democracy in the Middle East is not welcome and wealthy non-democracies pay good money for Israeli deaths.

Your mental image of the Israelis is monstrously distorted. What could be the cause, I wonder?

Poor geography education?

15. bahahahahah
they aren't foreign adventurists...

It's all they have done since they set up in camp in 48. They joined up with France and Egypt immediately and went out on a great, Egyptian adventure in the Sinai until the US told them all to go home and I'm sure half those people in the IDF have served in Lebanon and would laugh their ass off at your little tale of "fighting for their homes and lives".

16. They already have ....
Jay Garner and L Paul Bremer are EXTREMELY close to the Likudnik supporters of Sharon, .... with Garner being VERY closely associated with JINSA, and Bremer, while not DIRECTLY connected to Sharon, is considered sympathetic to the Neocon cause, meaning he was acceptable to Worfowitz and Perle as a successor to the incompetent Garner ....

You KNOW yer something special whenm Perle gives you the thumbs up ....

Now: with Iraqi Oil going DIRECTLY into Israel, and the revenues passing through american hands: .. the Iraqi's may see but a pittance of actual profits .....

That which is handed down from on high .....

17. No need to rub it in
This would make the Arabs very unhappy, perhaps Israel will get cheap oil from Iraq, but why provoke tensions even higher.
