the solution to security in Iraq
as just advocated by ret.Lt Col McGinnis on the "factor" is to re-hire and re-train the various elements of Iraqi secret service and a portion of the 300,000 disbanded Iraqi army..whom..quote "are looking for jobs"..correct me if I am wrong but I thought once the WMDs issue proved to be a complete farce, the justification for this invasion was "liberation" of the oppressed Iraqis..so the obvious solution is to form a mercenary army on the US bankroll to maintain law and order..does anyone else feel the Iraqis are back to square one again?

2. To hell with the Iraqi people, lets watch reality TV
Thats the mentality of many Americans. All of their compassion that oozed out of them when they wanted to go to war to liberate those poor opressed Iraqis has passed. The average American is either too stupid or too disinterested to care about the daily life of the Iraqi people.
Besides, if you set up another opressive regime, that means that in a year or so you can have ANOTHER WAR! WOO HOO! (Guns firing in the air) Then we can pat ourselves on the back for once again coming to the aid of the poor, opressed Iraqis. Besides, it beats the hell out of reruns.
