but in a private room, not accessable by the public, which was a temporary plan approved by the courts until its fate could be decided. I suppose if Moore wanted it moved to his office and it may be legal to have a private monument in a private office - no different than hanging the decalog on your office wall. Hopefully, he won't have an office for long (crossing fingers).

I believe this stone monumnet is a testament to a prohibition within the ten commandments, towhit the second commandment: "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image".

To me, Judge Roy Moore and his followers are idolators.

If I may turn your attention to the words "unto thee" which to me means to, of, about yourselves.. meaning a worldy image...

I think it's along the same lines as the bit about worhsipping fals idols..

Like if there was a golden calf or something...

Having said that, the court order came down... I think they should've taken the monument down because of that.

Seperation of church and state, and the argument to take the monument down is a valid opinion, I cenrtainly have no problems with anyone who believes that.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the momument being there for a couple reasons.

I don't live in Alabama, therefore it's less my concern than it is someone in Alabama.

I don't think that any judge in that courthouse is going to change his ruling because of what's in the hall... I don't really see it as a contradictions between sep. of church and state. When you start legislating by religion, that's where I have a problem.

I just see it as a stone monument, I don't see whay the response is quite so rabid to get rid of the monument.. I guess my view is that It's just sitting there, it's not hurting anyone.. it's a piece of concrete.

21. Well you can say that about a lot of statues and other monuments, but

that does not mean they don't convey powerful messaages to humans about many diferent things. That is why they have been a form of communication for many, many years.
