Edited on Wed Aug-27-03 11:51 AM by Richardo
...last night? Grover Norquist vs Robert Reich debating taxes and deficits.

As Norquist was wiping his chin after his last vomitus of lies, they go to Reich for HIS last words.

I can't wait. Robert is winding up. And the pitch: As soon as he labels Norquist's statements "demgoguery" his audio AND video feed are cut and we're left looking at (I think) Fenway park.

Hostess: "Oops! I guess you had the last word, Grover." :eyes:

How blatant can you be - no explanation, just the O'Reilly-esque yanking of the mic. :tinfoilhat:

If I can find a link I'll post it...

1. I saw it, but the most likely (though not certain) explanation
is some kind of technical problem.

Actually I as watching CNBC because, while there was a slight rightward tilt, it was moderate that hour, and the liberal viewpoint was being expressed.

4. Capitol Report, I think. The hostess was Gloria Borger (Borgia)
Alan Murray is the other one, though he wasn't on last night. They are rational, informed WSJ types, I think. I don't share their values, they're conservative and all, but they aren't of the ilk that call people traitors for criticizing Whistle Ass.

Although. . . now that I think about it, last night they showed a clip of Dean saying that Bush should be turned out of office in the next election before he ran the economy in the ground, and Gloria Borger said something along the lines of "Whoa! And how do you respond to something like that!" and gave the floor to a conservative to respond. Like Dean had just supported a communist overthrow or something.

3. It seems we've seen
those tech glitches or cutaways before. Or maybe it is just oversensitivity that makes it seem the victims exit stage left most of the time.

In fact, I seem to remember the exact same rationalization the last time it happened, no offense Raenelle.

And if Arnold and Norquist and think tank scientists deserve anything close to 50% serious forum time on ANY rational or fair basis, then I am living on a flat earth. Flattened, that is.
