At least two US soldiers have been killed and several others wounded in separate
attacks in Iraq, according to eyewitnesses.

Locals near the town of Taji, north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, said that US
coalition troops had been injured in a roadside bomb attack there.

An eyewitness said the injured were taken from the scene by other soldiers.

In Baquba, locals also reported two US deaths in a similar roadside bomb attack.


A smouldering civilian lorry was left at the scene of the Baquba incident.

Some gathered at the scene to chant pro Saddam slogans.

Neither attack was confirmed by coalition military in Baghdad.

Leftchick - I swear I'm really beginning to wonder how many will really make it home - with one year tour of duties. My sincere wish is that they would all throw down their weapons and say fuck it - tell Georgie - "bring it on" - what are you going to do to us??
