Whistle Ass couldn't have been very cheered by tonight's reports on ABC News and NBC News. (I didn't hear CBS because it plays at the same time as ABC, but NBC runs a half hour later.)
ABC and NBC both reported again on the out of control deficit and that WA and company won't be "pinned down" to an estimate of how much rebuilding Iraq will be and drive the deficit even higher.
Then there was the reporting and almost unanimous conclusion by everyone except the EPA that the EPA's rollback of those provisions of the Clean Air Act would cause greater pollution, more illness and death to the very young, very old, and disabled people.
Then NBC ran a report that a California watchdog group managed, over the internet, to pay about $26 for the SSN's and addresses of such people as John Ashcroft and KKKarl Rove. The reason for asking for those SSN's was that the Bush administration has opposed states' attempts to enact legislation protecting privacy of citizens.
Finally, I'm hearing about something other than Kobe and the size of his wife's diamond ring.
