7. If they do indeed hold the now postponed elections and people are

actually allowed to vote in Iraq for someone THEY nominate, there will be a fundamentalist islamic mullah as leader of Iraq. There will be civil wars as the majority factions of islam exterminate the minority and secular elements. This could spiral out of control with the Kurds.

If they don't hold elections, or if it is a fake election with a U.S. puppet in charge, the violence will continue to escalate against both U.S. troops and Iraqis who collaberate with the U.S.

Don't know if the U.N will play a role or not, since we don't know if Smirky will let them in meaningfully

8. Chaotic systems do not allow accurate predictions.

Possibilities:
1. fragmentation;
2. Turkish and/or Iranian intervention;
3. Shia religious theocracy, with active Sunni, and separate Kurdish (Sunni) opposition;
4. U.S. troops still bogged down, as Iraq spirals further into breakdown;
5. UN peacekeepers establish some degree of recovery;
6. everybody kisses and makes up, and life in Iraq becomes a joy.

Don't count on #6.

I am more worried what will happen here in the US if we have to shoulder the entire cost of rebuilding Iraq alone.

It all depends on how the chimp handles it. Something I could see happening is it disolving into chaos and/or anti American extremeism with the next President: the moment Bushco's Replutocans are out of power, they'll set in motion a chain of events that will force the next Democratic President to either crack down or back of; if he does either, it will be 'his' fault, not Bush's or the Neocon idiots who actually started it.
