Here's why they have to wait till September to find the WMDS
My theory is that it is not to do with a product line but rather with incubation time.

We have all those scienbtists probably cooking up some authentic Iraqi WMDs to plant.

If we were to plant our own, they would have our signature on them.

They are probably growing some bio agent that has a specific incubation time, thus they could predict the time at which they could "find" them.

1. Nawwww
I think they already have the stuff. Thats why about a month ago they made that big stink about the chemical weapons being disposed of in Mississippi (?). That way they could easily transport them and nobody would raise an eyebrow...after all they were being shipped for destruction, not Iraq!!

IMHO

2. You are assuming then that they would actually let an outside
agency verify their "find"?

3. buying time to work on the "but he was an evil dictator" routine.....
unfortunately even some dems have been buying the whole humanitarian cause, until now. My guess they'll either plant or have soil samples strongly suggesting WMD were destroyed just minutes prior to the war. Interesting article about cambridge profeesor who obtained the interview between saddam kamel and intelligence about WMD in iraq seems as though our intel lied even back then.

4. I dont think anything short of...
...accidentally detonating a nuclear device would be belived...like "oops...there they are" - that might work

But any "discoveries" - I think, won't be belived...the Nigera/yellowcake effect is still going strong...

But, General Myers did say on NBC/MTP something to the effect that "we'll release that information at the right time..."

I can't imagine that they didn't see the benefit in sitting on WMD proof and letting the anti-war crowd shoot off their mouths for a few months...remember Poppy used up all his good news to fast...he had nuthin' left for the election...

9. Ah but you misunderstand the depth ignorance of the "useful idiots"...
First of all you're right the list of WMD were quite short but now chems and bios have somehow been added to the list. He who has, changes the rules applicable.

You never bring out a new product line before Labor Day.

They're all scum. If this is being manipulated it's disgusting!

12. Isn't that what they are spinning now on CNN?
And in the LA Times and the Charlotte Observer?
The spin is that there may not be WMDs because Iraqis mislead us.

13. Rumors of WMD
There are rumors on the DU and other web pages that they are going to say that they were spirited away to Syria and Jordan. Now all the sudden the CIA remembers pictures of a truck convoy; they never thought of it before I guess. However, the weapons are in a really dangerous area so the US is not able to get at them. I think since Rummy knew where they were, he should be the first to go bring them out; it is mandatory that he take Bush and the others with him as bodyguards. Our pResident flew over Iraq (Faux News was so impressed.) Tony Blair went into the combat zone and met with the troops. The Democrats have a plethora of great info to bring the coward down. It is sickening that while our troops and the Iraqi people are being killed, are without sufficient water and electricity, and Haliburton is being paid with my money to do something about it and isn't that Smirk has spent the month at fund raisers and photo ops. I guess he had to get away from Dean's ads.

16. I dont think people will buy that one...
I think it will come back to "Why didn't they use them?" They were well aware we were about to kick their asses...that's a hard one to explain...You wouldn't remove your seat belt before a head on colision?

I think the WMD was an Iraqi bluff...and the BFEE fell for it...although that was perhaps not their (Iraq's) intention...perhaps it worked a little too good...

We haven't been looking for WMD as much as we have been looking for EVIDENCE of WMD - which might be easier for Iraq to manufacture.

18. They'll have to wait 'til Sept.
An announcement like that would force Bush to be in D.C. and end his vacation early.
