6. He is a Republican Gov

and a very fine Govenor. It would be a shame to lose him or waste vast resources that the state needs. One of his staunchest issue is Education and he formed the Millineum Scholarship program for every high school student in Nev. If you Graduate with a cumlative gpa of 2.9 or more you qualify for the $10,000.00. This averages tuition for four years in any state school or University in Nevada, usually UNLV(las vegas) or UNR(Reno and you have 6 years to use it. His budget had a 15% increase for UNR in this next budget, did not quite keep up with student enrollment but we did not get a cut. The university was delighted with their funds for this next year. He is truly an Education Governor and while I am a registered Dem I was proud to vote for Kenny Quinn. His belief that education and our children are the number one priority resonates with voters and he puts our money where his mouth is.

5. Elections will no longer be the final word...

Imagine what will happen if a Democrat wins the White House in 2004...I can see the pugs trying to recall the president and the compliant corporate media would go right along with them.

In my humble opinion, recalling governors is only a test to see how well the public responds. If the public is receptive and responds the way the pugs want them to then they will go onto bigger prizes.

Does anyone know what the guidelines are for recalling nationally or federally elected politicians?

There is no provision for recall of federal officials, only impeachment.

Guinn is a centrist with some Democratic support. (Sidebar: I know his Democratic opponent in 2002, Joe Neal, is a well-respected Black senator from Las Vegas. He lost a lot of Democratic support to Guinn though, and he writes for Lyndon LaRouche publications.) The right is pissed with Guinn for getting the state high court to nullify the 2/3rg legislative requirement for raising taxes.
