5. Washington DC Sept 20th good for everybody? OR NY.?
Tell me where and when. I am there.

We must focus a demonstration on IRAQ or we risk 'watering down' the message if we incorporate Religion, Social injustices , enviornment etc (This regime would justify trials for many abuses...).
I believe Karl uses the watering down technique quite a bit.

6. I was thinking about a nation wide march
where thousands of people march in the bigger cities. Like for instance in California we could have one in la san diego san francisco and do this all over the country, and yes make the war the focal point. halliburton, cheney, pnac, all of it.

7. We need some intermediate steps:
1. Demand that the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings re WMD claims be open -- imagine a media circus like Blair is facing in Britain;
2. Push the 'troops home now' demand -- this one is starting to play with greater parts of the population, not to mention with the troops in Iraq, and it's what needs to be done;
3. Note the continued stagnation of the economy -- for every 'positive' indicator they trot out, two others show a death spiral;
4. Support Dem candidates for every House race and every Senate race to be contested; and
5. Publicize all of the negatives coming from the WH and the GOP-controlled congress.

Because the truth is that we are not going to get impeachment, nor even impeachment hearings -- and we wouldn't want them anyway, not with the current congress. Dubya must be redefeated, and this time it needs to take. And the GOP majority in congress needs to be slimmed down to a whining minority. Dubya's numbers are heading rapidly south, and we need to pour it on and help them decline more precipitously. And we need his 'coattails' to bring down a good number of GOP pols in the Senate and House. That will take many kinds of political work, including marching in the streets for numerous causes.

9. Stop wasting your time
I hate to rain on your parade, but there is no way you are going to impeach Bush. The House and Senate are both controlled by the GOP. They won't impeach their own president. Instead, work on defeating these folks in the 2004 election.

11. NOW is the critical factor
We have written, faxed, checked facts etc. If the whole nation gets into the streets on Sept 20th (and sorry not part of any other cause)with signs focusing on IRAQ WAR , the lies , the totals, the PNAC, then I think it would be simple enough and 'photogenic' enough for the media to pick it up. Do not water it down.

Now is the time to rattle the cages, make some noise , draw the eyes.
