WTH??? Martin Luther King Poll.....

On the News for change website, there was a link to an article. I clicked on it. On the page was a poll, which asked this question: Do you think Martin Luther King was a great American?

54% said NO!

So, what kind of publication is Insight, and who are these people that voted. They would obviously be people with internet access. I sort of thought that all Americans respected King, even Republicans. So what gives?

to hear you explain that assinine bilge. And make it easy for yourself: List me any reasonably comparable American (a preacher, or a civil liberties advocate) who is presently locked up, without charges or counsel, awaiting death as an Enemy of the State. Which prison is Jesse Jackson incarcerated within? Where is the Rev. Cecil Murray rotting away at? When was Dr. Maulana Karenga swept into the Night and Fog?

There's no doubt the civil situation is deteriorating in this nation, but irrational hyperbole serves no useful purpose. Far better to keep ourselves grounded within the nightmare that is and hope to effect change than to take arms against the demons of our delusion and thereby lose whatever credibility we may enjoy.
