Bob Baer sounding forth on the new spin on Zahn's show.
Didn't he just write a supposedly reputable book? I remember seeing him on C-Span a couple of times. Ex-CIA...he is going along with or at least not condemning the new spin that the bad Iraqis gave us bad info. Here is an article about what I am referring to, saw it here today.

Just how foolish and how gullible do they think we are? I am glad I did not buy his book, though it sounded interesting.

I was insulted when I read the LA Times article, and he is insulting my intelligence as well!!

1. Buzzflash...

will post an interview with him in the next two weeks.

I'm not sure this is spin. It makes sense that Iraqis in cahoots with Bush insiders would lie to intelligence.

2. Sounds like they are excusing the Bush administration. Wrong.
We have our own intelligence, don't we? No matter what these cahooting Iraqis told us, they should not have been the source for the decision to go to war!!!!

3. yes, this is absurd
If this fairy tale is what they think is going to save their a$$ from grass they are even more deluded than I thought.

For one, the story is too complex for the American public to buy, i.e., it is not good propaganda material.

Second, it doesn't pass the smell test because they claimed other sources in making their case for war.

Third, if they do indeed try to pass it off as their excuse, it makes them look foolish. People who are duped are thought of as fools in this culture.
