Can Kerry hammer Bush on these Oil prices??

Will Kerry just stay away from this? It 53 dollars a barrel today and I recall Bush saying he would use his friends to keep prices down. Isn't there a way Kerry can use this along with the government report stating that oil heating costs will be 28% HIGHER this year?

There has got to be some arguement Kerry can use about this. This really effects a lot of Americans.

plenty of data to suggest that with peak oil we should have started down a conservation path years ago.

Try to fix oil prices - probably no.

4. There was great Republican and Wall Street optimism (vide Ed Yardeni)

that the invasion of Iraq would bring oil prices down to the mid-$20 range (and would pay for the reconstruction of Iraq, of course).

Clearly the opposite has happened, and the negative impacts on the economy have just begun to be felt.

Yes, there is room to nail the Cheney/Bush junta on these oil prices.
