If you're on broadband, you might want to cancel and try again. It seems to be well-seeded right now, I just snagged it in 20 minutes. I'm going to keep uploading for the next few hours.

9. According to the speedtest I just did, my DSL connection is...

Downstream 1789 Kbps (223.6 KB/sec) 1932 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 309 Kbps (38.6 KB/sec) 333 Kbps (inc. overheads)

I varies from test to test I'm sure, but our connection is still very good for our area. And it's a FAR cry from God-awful 56K dialup. *shudders*

Probably just hitting some peak traffic or something. Sigh...

10. chances are this is your problem...

If you are behind a firewall (and most of us with broadband hopefully are) and you haven't

1) Entered your cable modem's (or dsl, whatever) IP address into your bit torrent program... usually it is a field something like "IP Address to report to tracker"
AND
2) Forwarded the correct ports (I use 6881) to the computer you are using to download then you can't upload (contribute) and you get choked from the network for being a leech.

You don't do that, and you get no where fast, as you have discovered.
