If anyone was piloting one of the first "post Sept 11 2001" airline
flights, would they do this or give the "we're all in this together and we won't even think of letting the bastards take over the plane" speech? I certainly would have for I am sure any terrorist would think twice about highjacking another plane if they knew the passengers and crew would fight back and besides I would consider any "My fellow Americans, this is how we're to mark the anniversary of the Sept 11 terror or "terra" incidents" speech on the part of *,"Commander or Crusader Kittyhole," or Whistleass (which I am already beginning to dread, by the way) to be FAR more patronizing, than any anti - highjack speech on the part of pilots.

1. There you are!
Are you in BC?

You disappeared there for awhile, and people on here were worried about you.

"World Trade Centerize" the Calgary Tower or anything either.

Occasionally didn't post some nights since I decided to make getting over my cold a greater priority.

On edit Luckily Al Quaeda didn't do that (or that Canadian authorities managed to "nail" some Al Quaeda types) before they could EVEN THINK of doing that sort of thing for that would have been a :scared:yer disaster than Sept 11 2001 since (A) on account of the havoc it would wreak and (B) that no doubt would have struck closer to home for me.

9. My sister Marilyn is in Vancouver though and hopefully that is as far away
from "Wildfire or Forest fire Ground 0" as possible, but unfortunately the same can't be said for Kelowna. :(

3. I didn't have to say anything on my first flight

after they reopened the airspace system to airline traffic. It was obvious that my passengers knew they held their lives in their own hands and would die trying to prevent any takeover of the aircraft.

Being based in LGA at the time, we had a constant reminder of what happened and would not let it occur again.

4. And am sure they knew full well of what the intrepid and indomitable souls
aboard UA Flight 93 tried to do.

5. It's worth a try,

is it not?

If you're on a plane that is taken over by hijackers, you're already dead unless you do something to change the outcome.

Stand up and fight.

6. Yeah tell the SOB's LOUD and CLEAR "HIGHJACK THIS"

8. If I were a post 9/11 pilot...
I'd bone up on the flight envelope of my hardware and be ready to roll that thing, throw it into a parabolic arc, and then set it down fast.

I like my terrorists shaken (to the point of concussion) not stirred, thank you.

10. Or you could have tried to send
the plane into a DRAMATIC NOSE DIVE to have the terrorist SOB's land HARD and FAST on their BUTTS, and hopefully the passengers and crew could take care of them before they knew what hit them.
