BBV - San Bernardino ballots need more postage - NOT!!
"HESPERIA — Postal officials are returning absentee ballots with 37 cents postage despite an agreement with the San Bernardino County to deliver absentee ballots regardless of postage."
(snip)
"A 37-cent stamp isn't enough to cover the shipping charge for the 1.2-ounce ballot, postmasters around the High Desert said Friday. The cost to send a letter of that weight is 60 cents."
(snip)
"The Registrar of Voters met with the county's regional postmasters last month to make sure the long-standing agreement was still in effect — which it is, Wert said."

Oops, someone forgot to tell the postmasters.

2. This election is already going crazy
all over the place. I'm really worried about the outcome Nov. 2 although I'm trying to stay positive.

don't fret. The inmates won't be in charge too much longer.

5. Hmmm, how would honest, thoughtful officials handle this?
Honest thoughtful postmasters would deliver the ballots and send the bill to honest thoughtful election officials who would pay it.

It's interesting that the return of the ballots wasn't an all or nothing situation.

Logsdon said she has returned at least half of the absentee ballots sent from the Spring Valley Lake Post Office back to the senders for insufficient postage. She was unsure exactly how many had been returned.

Who got their ballots, and who didn't?
