My Mom says Kerry will win but Bush will still be President
My Mom has become paranoid in her old age. She said to me last night she feels Kerry will win but says Bush WILL NOT leave the White Hosue no matter what. She thinks something will happen between Novemeber 3rd-January 20th like an attack or something. I have corrupted her with my politcal views I think. Could she be right?

1. Ahhh
That's freaky. I know it probably won't happen but I also know that it's possible.

I think once losing sets in, he'll be happy to go back to Crawford. Too much hard work being president (seriously).

5. I'd say it's 50/50 chance she's right
I'm hoping that once Bush loses the election, the respectable Pubs will finally stand up for democracy and shut down BushCo for the last two months of his term, and not let him destroy the country before vacating the premises

7. Could happen....
I wouldn't put anything past these criminals. They allowed 3,000 to die in order to justify their bogus invasion of Iraq, didn't they?

Your mom is very smart, not suffering "old age".

9. My mom is 85 she hates Bush with a passion

She has donated the max to DNC , Kerry and everything else.

She said that Bush is such a criminal that he will find a way to get back in no matter what the vote outcome is.

That's why, IMO, this election is about crushing them, not just beating them.

We have got to get control of both houses!

We have got to win by such a margin that they will be afraid to still stick with the Neo Cons.
I never thought I would see the day when I would pray to see true Republicans. These neo cons are the real problem.

"If you are not paranoid....You are not paying attention"...A little healthy paranoia is good, considering what we are going through!

10. Can you visualize *, after losing, saying...
"we fought the good fight, but now its time to step aside and let others lead"?

I can't... let's hope that means he'll just slink away without saying anything.

11. I lived in a third world country. Without the military to back him up,
there's no way he'll stay in office. And I don't think there's enough unity in the military to back a coup.

15. I wouldn't worry too much about that prospect
My Mom was convinced that WMDs would be found in Iraq, because, if they weren't there, then * would plant them, and she had me worried too. I think people that age have seen so much in their lifetime that we haven't that maybe they do find scenarios like that easier to believe. I personally don't think he'd have the balls.

Edited on Sun Oct-24-04 01:36 PM by prodigal_green
must be posting on their own board somewhere--my 69 year old mom just said the same thing today.

Remember, these folks lived through McCarthyism and Nixon, they've seen intimidation and dirty tricks before. My mother was practically in tears the other day when she said she never thought she'd live to see this country slide this precipitously close to fascism.

18. Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia are in bed with Christian Fundis
They are the three main computer voting companies in the US.

There seems to be a propensity for Republicans to win against the odds when voting machines are used.

19. The people who hated Clinton worried he wouldn't leave voluntarily.
I think the fear of asswipe outstaying his welcome is part of that same type of intense dislike.

I keep telling myself that, anyhow...
