Why can't most Americans see that we'd be doing the same thing the Iraqis
are doing if we were invaded for no reason.

Remember that movie back in the day when the little kids @ a high school fought off an invasion. Oh, what about the movie Toy Soldiers?

If someone invaded the US saying they were trying to rescue us from * because he was a bad man. I'd be an insurgent in no time. Why? Because they need to let us deal with *. Not invade us.

When I see all these W the pResident stickers and BushCheney stickers I can't figure out why they are so stupid. Why would they deny the Iraqi's right to take up arms against their occupying force knowing that they'd take up arms if it happened to them?

wants to do.

2. Because Iraqis aren't white
It's really as simple as that, I believe. If it was a European country, the sentiment would be entirely different. Look at the attitudes in regards to the Germans and the Japanese in WWII. Sure, we viewed the Germans as bad guys but the Japanese were vilified as animals. An alien race.

The Iraqis are "towel-heads", "camel jockeys", etc. They are seen as sub-human by a surprising number of people. And I think that's your answer.

7. Rove gets his penchant for fascism honestly???
Karl Rove is, in fact, the grandson of Karl Roverer, the gauleiter of Mecklenburg, who was also a partner and senior engineer of Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurb¸ro AG. They built Birchenau, the concentration camp in Nazi Germany.

3. Red Dawn is the perfect analogy
But you know what? The guys/gals in red dawn had one major difference. . .they were white.

Now I'm not being racist, or calling anyone who can't see the difference racist, but I think or president said it best when he said (about those oppossing freeing Iraq) "some people think Brown People can't be free".

In the minds of those who do not understand why nation building is the biggest evil we could commit, we are helping our helpless little "brown people" friends because they just don't know any better. . .

8. Poppy Bush used to call Jeb's kids his "brown grandchildren", so...
maybe skin tone is noticed in the Bush family. My nephew married a dark Native American and never have I heard their grandmother call those grandchildren anything but their names!

4. Or if Ashcroft started calling in airstikes against "suspected terrorists"
On our own soil, and in our neighborhoods... or rounding up people from their homes and arresting them with no trial because he had "specific intelligence" that one of their neighbors was a terrorist? Do right-wingers just not get it? You can't win a war on terrorism this way. It's completely counter-productive. Americans would be up in arms, just like the Iraqi's.
