55/45
Ok, 100,000,000 people voted in the last election. We are told that about 26,000,000 additional persons have registered to vote since the 2000 election. I have read that 3/4 of the new registrations are comming from folks that register Democratic, and presumably will vote as they have recently registered.

So if the numbers are correct there sould be about 19,500,000 new Democratic voters and 6,500,000 new Republicans. The last election was about evenly split at 50,000,000 votes for each Gore and Bush, and the next election would seem to be on the same course, except for the new registrants. So we simply add the numbers and come up with 69,500,000 votes for the Democratic Side and 56,500,000 for the Republicans, or a 55% majority for the Democrats. I know, far to simplistic, but still, how far off do you see it?

2. you forgot one variable
republicans who arent gonna vot for bush so you can actually cut about 10% off the republican vote and add 80% of that 10% to the Kerry colum, as the other 20$ of that 10% wont vote
