What did he mean by "our fate is in our hands"? I think his remarks were for making trouble with the American people - not Kerry or Bush.

I think we are missing Osama's point. He is trying to cause riots, etc. with the American people. He is not interested in the President one way or the other.

1. how do you "commit" anarchy?
I think OBL was making a point about a long-standing practice of American foreign policy that wreaks poverty and death on third-world countries. You are right, he is not interested in the President one way or the other, because to him they both represent the American Empire--albeir one in more naked, unapologetic arrogant form than the other.

7. there is plenty of intelligent reporting of the seeds of terrorism
Unfortunately it takes place in independent media forums, which are far from the mainstream. But it's there, it's available to view, read and share.

6. I think he was stating very clearly....
...that in our country its up to "us" to dictate our foriegn policy and that is done by the leaders we select. He's absolutely right. We have been happy sitting in the back seat oblivious to what our leaders have done around the world....and they have done a lot of stuff which makes us hated.

8. You have imaginative hearing.
He meant that it is up to the US people to force our government to change our Mid East policy or we will never have security. That is his basic thesis.

10. He is just making the same exact message he has been making for years.
He will try and attack the US as long as we continue many aspects of our Mid East policy.
