Relax, this country is becoming more and more liberal
Thanks to constant influx of immigrants who mostly vote for democrats.
What cost us this time around was the Hispanic vote. Kerry just didn't do a good job of appealing to them. Al Gore won more hispanic votes than did John Kerry. Also, we lost women's votes. We lost votes of seniors.
In a few decades(maybe even sooner) Florida will be dark blue. At least I hope so.

Anybody agree?

1. Big cities go Dem every time, and they're growing explosively.

Yes; it's a function of time.

2. Who says immigrants are democrat?
I have a friend who immigrated from Poland and he is definitely a Republican, more opposite of what he grew up with which in his opinion did not work.

7. don't forget ahnold
Listening to Nixon speak sounded more like a breath of fresh air.

I said to my friend, I said, "What party is he?"

My friend said, "He's a Republican."

I said, "Then I am a Republican."

16. I am an immigrant myself
And most immigrants I know(actually all immigrants I know) voted for Kerry.
Florida shouldn't even be a battleground state since it's in the South. The only reason is because of migration from up North and also immigration.

4. How the HELL do you figure that??
This country is becoming dangerously militantly right wing, and it's not just the Republicans.

10. The elections have been diebolded
Minorities have been intimidated from voting. This election has shown that the rich of any party will only follow what's in their best interest, not the country's. Notice how Kerry folded without a fight.

The best thing to do is to stop electing rich schmucks in the primaries.

11. Really????
Funny, I thought I just saw the most right-wing fuck-up president in history WIN the election yesterday.

Oh and a few decades? That's very reassuring. That's most of our lives.

14. Wrong.
There are a lot of us, but we are the minority. We need to recognize this and act accordingly.

15. The top issue was "Moral values", not econ. or Iraq
Beating up on gay people is more important to the majority of voters than the deaths in Iraq, protectiong the nation from terrorism and living wages.

No. We gave our best. We got out the vote. We had unprecedented turnout, and they still won. They have more. It's simple numbers.
