2. True, BUT, they do apparently have a machine built...
I think it will boil down to how much MORE * can screw the country.

I remain hopeful that at some point they will see reason. There HAS to be some point where they realize that bashing gays via constitutional amendment isn't worth what * is doing to the country.

(Yeah yeah, naive, but I can't fathom how willfully ignorant the repug base is.)

Plus, do you think any Democratic opreatives can get * to nail some chick in the white house?

5. Abortion
Over and over, people told me they were voting for Bush because of abortion. They make Bush's base. Bush has two years to deliver on this issue. If he doesn't, he will lose credibility. If he does, we can go on the offensive on the issue and destroy Bush's base. People who are anti-choice don't understand that the consequences of criminalizing abortion will be horrible.

3. Will find something to fire up the base since they still have Rove
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 04:15 PM by mazzarro
And KKKarl Rove will probably tun his teention to expanding and entrenching the reThuglicans more in power nationally and in as many states as possible. This is what I fear the most and what I see facing us.

6. I'm wondering about this one too.
If the big stuff they expect to have happen doesn't happen, do they look to Roy Moore to run? Could that send a few Southern states this way?

7. For what it may be worth, when the Catholic church was last in
charge of Western Civilization, they held onto power for over 800 years. Now the fundies are rising. They won't last 800 years but it could be 50 to 100 years. The only thing that will stop them is their own absurdity. The access to modern weaponry, transportation and communication in the hands of the right-wing fundies presents a whole new ball game. Bush is about to piss off the world so badly that we're going to have something happen that's a whole lot worse than suicide bombers, more like Hiroshima. There are massive nuke warheads all over the former Soviet Union, available to the highest bidder. India, Iran, China and N. Korea all have subs, not to mention several of our former allies. A missile launched from the deck of a ship 40 miles off shore would arrive on target in about 4 minutes. How would we stop that? Let's get real.

Bush has created serious enemies that we didn't even have before he went into office.

And by the way, the militant Muslims are as crazy and our fundies and both sides are hell bent on Armageddon.
