3. We had better get in on that vote

We got no clear majority yesterday. We HAVE to get moderate voters or the Democratic party is sunk. Maybe after everybody is losing big, people will wake up.

4. There are a lot of Republicans that are more secular, don't like the

religious overtones, want fiscal responsibility, strong military, etc. Did those people really vote for Bush? or were they the Kerry Republicans we were talking about yesterday?

I think there were people who fit that group who just didn't vote because they had some kind of problem with Kerry, such as the anti-war protests - smear vets stopped them from voting for Kerry but they couldn't stomach voting for Bush. I know of one example - my Father.

Hell, even before the midterms, I could see a few moderate-to-liberal Republicans switching parties or going independent.

Please don't flame me. I am not dissing Kerry and was proud to vote for him.

But if you want to capture repukes (ala Reagan Democrats) we have to run somebody staunchly in the middle, not just the midddle of the Dems.
