Oklahoma's District Attorney is showing the White House to be weak on corporate crime. The SEC, Department of Justice, Ashcroft, and the rest of the White House crooks are being exposed as the ineffective corporate whores they are.

How?

Because Worldcomm's Ebbers is getting indicted and the Executive Branch had nothing to do with it.

Folks, let's hear it for states' rights. Let's hear it for DA's who have an ounce of courage and actually care about the law. Let's hear it for showing Bush how justice is done.

Yeah!

(edited to remove the word "bitchslapped" from the title, which might be offensive to some, I dunno.)

2. isn't this also how BCCI was finally investigated?
I think Robert Morganthau, New York DA, was the one who kept after the crooks from BCCI.

It's too bad that the federal govt has refused to demand justice for the American people after Ken Lay and his friends gang raped their employees and stockholders.

3. This won't be the last time a State shows up the feds
We've had NY AG Elliot Spitzer going after Investment Banks and now OK AG Drew Edmondson going after Ebbers. Each time this happens the BFEE is going to take a hit. Thank heavens for the States!

5. Same thing happened in NY with the AG there
He prosecuted the crap out of a bunch of Wall Street thieves and got a $1 billion fine out of some of the Enron bank mafiosa.

Good for the local law enforcement folks. Don't let the elected thieves give their crook buddies a walk.
