My favorite RW "zinger" from the Richfield Bush-a-thon
"Did you read High Crimes?" Like that was supposed to scare me.

I shot back "No, did you read Blinded by the Right?" She started to scurry off, and I crossed over the yellow tape away from the road (incidentally, the Bushistas thought that this was their "hallowed" ground, when, in fact, we were shortly told to get behind the yellow tape or be dealt with).

Immediately, two of her bodyguard (self-appointed or what) got in my face and, to their credit, quietly and non-threatingingly told me to get back in my area, that I was encroaching on them. (I hope it chafed them that we had to go into "their" territory, by police edict). At this point, while trying to tell them that I wanted an answer from the woman, they informed me that she was over 80 years old. Well, I guess that any old woman can shake an umbrella at an evilDUer and get away with it.

I found it funny that it took two definitely taller guys to detain a non-threatening answerseeker.

1. Hmmm.
As good as it might feel to needle someone about their faulty beliefs, it is probably not the nicest thing to choose an old lady. Makes you and your cause look bad.

Keep up the advocacy, just realize that hostile confrontation will never create a convert to your side.

2. Problem was, she came past us and started the fight
if the old biddy didn't want to get into harm's way, (which she didn't, we are the nonviolent ones, remember? She had nothing to fear. I explained freeper "pre-emptive strike" to a freepin' family on the walk away), then she shouldn't have been there.
