Most Effective Way to Distribute my BBV CD? Need Help? Please? :)
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 04:38 PM by Ladyhawk
I've just about got it together. Huge thanks to Chili for putting all the information in one informative website.

Chili, you rock!

My CD will be "slapped together" but it gets the truth out. It includes VoterGate, Symbolman's Flash and Mike Malloy's November 3rd radio program. It includes links to blackboxvoting.org and many other places as well as Chili's comprehensive list. It isn't necessarily pretty, but it will get the word out fast.

I was simply going to spread it locally, but I think it would be a good idea to send a few copies to active DUers across the United States.

Who wants some CD lovin'?

P.S. The idea is to get the information out FAST. Encourage people to make copies and pass them along. I'd like to send a few to every major region in the country. PM me if you want one (or some) and promise to copy and distribute it to others.

3. Have we done this already? Link?

If not, give me a clue about how to start this and I will do it. I'm thinking Bev Harris already has something like this going...maybe not.

4. I would need more webspace than I currently have.
I've seen places online that offer you space, but more often than not the downloads are slower than molasses in January. If you know of a reliable place, let me know.

11. You know, I just looked for bpilgrim and his name has disappeared
from DU profiles. I found some of his posts and tried to PM him and it said, "No such user."

9. Kick again!
I'm semi-finished unless I can include something about petitions. I need to go lie down for a bit.

It isn't much, but it presents the information through multimedia, which is easier for some people to digest.

I may make an .iso, ask bpilgrim to host and GreenParty to advertise. Plus I can keep a thread kicked.

10. No, no, no.
Put up a Bittorrent. This is a peer to peer method of distributing content that's easy on bandwidth and very scaleable. One can post links on webpages that will open the BT program, and downloading is a snap.

Michael Moore used this method to distribute F911 online for free.

12. Thanks, I'll check it out.
But it might be really slow until more than one person has it. DSL isn't all that great for uploads.
