Which candidates are the most honest?
Edited on Tue Sep-02-03 04:26 AM by waldenx
This has nothing to do with favorites or who has the best chance.
Just simply can be trusted. Here is my opinion from most honest to least.

Lieberman: This guy has always been true to his beliefs. Unfortunately that means a moral policeman with no tolerance for cultural democracy and a crusade of violence against the boogeyman of the week.

Gephardt: He has a consistent voting record and lifetime of hard work. This also includes perpetual losing seats to republicans in the House.

Kucinich: The best voting record of all candidates. However, must have been high for that Flag Burning Amendment and pro-life switch.

Edwards: Despite his relative crappy voting record, He has been consistent. The only question is, what direction would his representation change from redneck north carolina to being President?

Graham: Reliable critic of the chimp, actually opposes the GOP on occasion. Authored Patriot Act and has questionable motives.

Dean: The most vocal Bush critic. Becoming a big time waffler and obvious political motives for his flip flops. Offers No solutions.

Kerry: Can anyone tell me what this guy believes in? He has changed his position and held opposing views on the same issue so many times my head is spinning. Doesn't show up for votes, and feels he is owed the Presidency.

Didn't include the others because I don't know enough about them and Clark is too afraid to tell us what he is.

Maybe the winner is the one who can lie the best?

1. A note about Edwards's voting.
I've never heard it described as crappy. Doesn't he vote with the party 96% of the time. I know that he had the second biggest gap between himself and the other senator from the same state (Helms) (second to Strom Thurmond and whats his name). Helms and Edwards only voted together 43% of the time. Normally senators vote for their state's interests, whch brings them closer together even if they're from oppositie parites (eg, Dem or Rep, in CT you'll always vote with the insurance industry, and Dem or Rep, in MI you'll always vote with the auto industru).

2. yes
Only meant "relative" in comparison to other Democrats running for President. And you make a good point about the contrast to Helms.
