Janklow's emails
Thinking I'd give Rep. Bill Janklow (R-Porsche) a little opinion on speeding and wreckless driving, I tried to send an email through his website. I find that only those giving a South Dakota zip code can get a message to him in that way.

Has his site always been like that, or only since the crash?

thanx

1. Alot of House Reps and Senators have this system.
I've tried to e-mail alot of them during the past year or so, and sometimes (most of the time) I couldn't send them an e-mail because I wasn't a constituent.

2. I'm glad they actually charged the m-fer,
I was worried he'd get away with murder because he's a repuke congressman and former governor, and a very arrogant, egotistical one at that!

3. get a zip code book
If you want to get there attention get a zipcode book and put in any zip cod in their area and they will receive the e-mail. Very simple I use it all the time. They use that so that they don't get e-mail from people like me who yell at them because of their behavior.

5. Lots of politicians don't want to hear from non-constituents
Lots of politicians don't want to hear from you unless you're a
constituent.

At a house party, John Kerry gave me his pitch about how he
wants New Hampshire folks to think of him as "our third
senator" (since we are represented solely by non-responsive
Right-Wing Republican assholes in the U.S. House and Senate),
but when I actually E-mailed him once, I got back a form
letter suggesting that I should contact MY elected
representatives rather than him.

6. They don't want to hear from non-constituent nobodies
Non-constituent lobbyists with a pot full of campaign contributions? That's another story! Of course, lobbyists don't have to go through the website email, Janklow himself rolls out the red carpet, lets them sit in his chair, lights their cigar and polices the ashes.

To be fair, it's not just Janklow, but while Joe or Jane Citizen might be repulsed by his reprehensible behavior, savvy bagmen see an opportunity to bend him over their barrel. A vote's a vote, after all.

7. Well, at least in Kerry's case, nowadays, I return the favor.

Well, at least in Kerry's case, nowadays, I return the favor.
I'm almost fond of telling this story to his various campaign
minions as they persist in calling us/E-mailing us/mailing us/
knocking on our door trying to get us to support Senator Kerry.

8. It Surprises Me that NH has 2 Repuke Senators
It's a mixed state politically-the Seacoast being fairly liberal and all. My parents live on the NH Seacoast in the summer and pay more property taxes on a house there than a bigger house in MA. They see the ever-rising property taxes as a threat to their retirement stability.

I'm curious, Atlant, what your view is about the political makeup of your state?

:hi:
