Wesley Clark's Candidacy?
Wasn't he supposed to make an announcement this past weekend whether or not he was going to run? What happened?

Personally, I'd much rather see him become Dean's running mate.

1. He's got a speech in Iowa on Sep. 16...
So anytime until then, is anyone's guess.

3. Sept. 15 is a financial reporting deadline
If he announces before 9/15 his campaign has to report
financial details, and right now there aren't any.

6. I think September 30th is the deadline
That would be the end of the third quarter.

For him not file, he would have to wait till October 1 or later.

However, I don't think anyone would knock Clark if he did not report much money. Everyone would say that he only had a few weeks, it would be a pass. Actually, if he could raise enough to move into the fifth or sixth in money raised for the quarter, it would be a big plus for him. So no matter what happens, it would be a win-win for him.

4. He's got a speech on Knoxville on Sept. 13th
Don't know what that means but he's a featured speaker at the Knox County Truman Dinner.

5. Did he say he was going to declare on Labor Day?
Is there a link to him saying that? Or was that just people from the DraftClark "movement" reading the tea-leaves? I read so many posts saying he would make the announcement on Labor Day, and then not one person posted about what had happened.

7. He said he'd make his decision in the next few weeks...
Which happened to coincide with Labor Day.
Everyone kind of assumed it'd be sometime around now, but I don't think anyone expected him to make a speech yesterday saying so.

11. If he hasn't said no by now, I'm sure that he is running and is just..
nailing down the final details. He's gotta roll it out, just right. :eyes: It's killing me thinking about waiting another couple of weeks. But you know what they say. Good things are worth waiting for....... :grr:

9. Wishful thinking...
Clark never said exactly when he would make an announcement.

10. The rumor mills says....
He will delay the announcement until after the Sept. 15th report of campaign funds collected. He wants a fresh beginning.
