EPA just changed a decades old ruling ~ that contaminated property |
|
Could not be sold and/or developed without cleanup. Now we can sell contaminated property and a school can be built on it with no clean-up. New Bush* reversal of Health protections. I don't have a link for this so posted in GD but just heard it on AM Radio News. Clean-up is no longer required for contaminated properties. We can spend the superfund for War now.

2. In USA Today they said they didn't change it, just |
|
re-interpreted the law. Sure. Are there any EPA rulings left for Bush to get rid of? In only 3 years he's managed to set the environmental protection progress back at least 100 years. Where the * is the outrage????

All over the enviromental community. Sadly too many people don't think the enviroment is a #1 priority. Maybe they'll change their minds when they get cancer from the pollution in their water, food, and air.

4. Let's ask him if we can bury the waste |
|
on his ranch at Crawford.
I think anyone wanting to revise these rules should have to personally live with them, send their pregnant daughters to live with the outcome, etc.

5. In case anyone reading this is confused |
|
The current *misadministration, in addition to stealing your money, dismantling your economic and social underpinnings, poisoning your food and water is poisoning the ground you walk on. Any questions?

8. Thank you ~ This is a lot more specific |
|
Sometimes what one hears on Radio is distorted and it appears to be the case here. It doesn't keep the site from being cleaned just who is the person responsible for the cleaning. What it does do is let the property be sold before the clean-up which is new.

9. Yep.. and I am sure that they are falling all over each other |
|
to claim responsibility and offer to clean up their mess.. THAT was why the original ruling was so important...it FORCED them to clean it up..
This "voluntary" shit is nonsense.. Industry has always done this.. Open a plant, pollute the immediate area, and then move on and do it again..
The will "offer" this polluted land at bargain basement prices and cut & run.. Their kids will not play on the playground that gets built 10 yrs down the road.:(
