Did anyone hear about a German company making Humvees?

I think I remember hearing something about that this week or last. How the makers of Humvee were moving to Germany, or contracting the work out to German companies...something like that. I couldn't find anything on a cursory google search. Wouldn't this be a nice poetry, to put this symbol of American independence, toughness, freedom out to a traitorous country like Germany?

1. I read something but

it was a russian company and they were just assembling them from kits at the rate of around 500 a year. Not Humvees though they were H2's Hummers for sale in Russia.
