Bloggger: "Cruz is busted!"
http://www.dailykos.com/

<snip>
Shocking photographs from Lieut. Governor Cruz Bustamante's sordid past as a Fresno State University militant Chicano hate group member in the free wheeling 1970s surfaced today on my desk. These photos are compelling evidence that his membership in the college student group 'MEChA', whose acronym in Spanish means, "Mexican Ku Klux Klan," is more than a youthful indiscretion. Bustamante, which in Spanish means, "He who breaks open the skull of the White Man," is shown racing towards a carne asada barbecue area, toting a Mexican flag and full Chicano revolutionary regalia. He is accompanied by a band of fellow unbathed MEChISTAS, which in Spanish means, "Mexican Aryan Nation."

8. I can't help but laugh
everytime I see it. "My little buttercup" is one of the best scenes IMO. "Up here, up here!"

11. OT: When is that coming out?
That sounds really good. I used to think he was just another hired smile, but after seeing Banderas in 'The Thirteenth Warrior', I'm starting to think he's a really decent actor. Okay, I know a lot of people didn't like that movie (Mr. Cranky hated it...), but I thought it was a cool 'slice of history'.

10. in Spanish means, "Mexican Ku Klux Klan," ..."Mexican Aryan Nation."
Uh...which is it?

Isn't "Aryan" kinda stupid?

And "Ku Klux Klan?" Hell, other than its racist meaning I have no clue what Ku OR Klux means!

16. I read that the Ku Klux part of Ku Klux Klan
comes form the Greek word kyklos(sp?) which means circle. I believe they were being sarcastic when they suggested the alternate meanings of the Spanish words.

12. ignorant..
MEChA stands for Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or student movement for Chicano's from Aztlan (mythical place of origin for the Aztecs). I don't know how the hell that translates into KKK.

14. ah, it's a joke..
Among the goals of this militant Mexican mafia are the complete takeover of Aztlan, which means "move into your house and violate your blonde daughter" and the most offensive and radical, to recruit Latino students into college. Disgusting!

I was being dense :dunce:

18. SI QUIERES CONOCER LOS MEXICANOS,
favor de no preguntar los gringos. ¿Y alquien es que tú quieres suportar en 2004? ¡Eso es el chiste grande del dia!
