He called us a "dumb puppy" !

Isn't that about the worst name you have ever been called? It's a disgrace! He didn't even call us a "dumb hounddog"...but a "dumb puppy". Now you may think this is being blown out of proportion..but think of just how serious this? "Dumb puppies" will piss on the floor, they will chew up your best shoes, they will crap on your carpet, but they love you unconditionally.

Now that radical from France via Hollywood, Johnny Depp, has compared our country to a "dumb puppy". Surely he could have done better to warrant the criticism he has received. He could have called us a "fascist bunch of assholes"? He could have called us "arrogant, greedy pigs"? He could have said we are led by "stupid, incompetent, right-wing ideologues"? But he compared us to "dumb puppies"! How dare he reach to the bottom and call us such foul names!

For the most part, much of America has been a bunch of dumb puppies.

But, like a dumb puppy, they are starting to learn. And when a puppy has been hit too many times, he will bite the hand that holds out the cookie.

At least a dumb puppy has the capacity to learn. Turkeys will stand out in the rain staring upward until they drown.

I guess all that time in France has worn off....he's got that typical mocking compassion and condescension for the poor unfortunates that don't happen to be French, down pat.
The French really do love this dumb puppy...just don't always respect it. Both of those sentiments co-exist in his statement.

3. Kentuck....while I thought it was an odd analogy...I knew coming from Depp

that it was okay.

He's really an interesting "quirky" guy.......... When I read it....I actually saw the humor....Dumb puppy....total Depp..........

Kind of is so "quirky" that it's hard to get worked up about it......one way or the other.....

Sorry......I get what he means.....but I'm sort of quirky too. Not a Johnny Depp....but have an odd way of expressing myself......I always get him......he's to me, one of the most interesting folks out their in the "entertainment world."

Sorry.......I get it......:crazy: "Dumb Puppy" feel sorry for us.....we are like puppies with lots of enthusiasm...who have to be trained....Until then we will pee all over, bite folks....and run amok everywhere.

Once a "Puppy" is disciplined......it becomes a Dog.......Depending on the discipline it's a "Good Dog" or "Bad Dog." And Puppies and Dogs always "serve their masters."

Think about it folks...........subtle....but yeah too quirky to hit it's mark....

I think what he probably meant is that Bush screwed the pooch and we are the pooch and that's why we are a dumb puppy, because we lick the hand of the master who screwed us.

Puppies can learn!

5. I sorta agree.

We are the retarded kid on the block who's been taking steroids. Slow in the head, but strong of arm. We need a head (re: administration) transplant.
